The World Vegetable Center West and Central Africa – Dry Regions office in Bamako, Mali constructed a new onion warehouse through the Jegué Diaba (“Fish and Onion”) project, funded by the Dutch embassy through ICCO and implemented by SMC Levin, Canada. The warehouse can store about 6 tons of shallot and onion. WorldVeg will compare the performance of the structure with storage units built by onion farmers in Burkina Faso.
