Prof. Andrew Campbell, CEO, Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and Dr. Pratibha Singh, ACIAR Regional Manager- South Asia, visited WorldVeg South Asia in Hyderabad on 11 June 2018. Regional Director Warwick Easdown gave an overview of the activities in the region. Legume Breeder Ram Nair introduced the International Mungbean Improvement Network supported by ACIAR, and discussed linkages with other ACIAR projects including the mungbean harvesting project. Prof. Campbell outlined ACIAR’s new 10-year strategic plan (2018-2027).

The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) team from Australia (Dr. Steve Jefferies, Managing Director; Dr. Nicole Jensen, General Manager of the Genetics and Enabling Technologies business group; Dr. Francis C. Ogbonnaya, Manager, Oilseeds and Pulses) visited WorldVeg South Asia on 18 May.
