A 29-person delegation from National Taiwan University’s Global Health Program and Global Innovations Program in Public Health visited WorldVeg headquarters on 7 May 2021 to learn about the role of vegetables in low-income economies and the health benefits of increasing vegetable consumption.

FOOD SYSTEMS IN THAILAND

On March 25, 2021, Dr. Vanida Khumnirdpetch, Director of Foreign Agricultural Affairs (fourth from left) and a delegation from Thailand’s Bureau of Foreign Agricultural Affairs (BOFAA) and Department of Agriculture (DOA) visited WorldVeg East and Southeast Asia in Bangkok to discuss opportunities for collaboration within the framework of the UN Food Systems Summit / Food System National Dialogue for Thailand.

MEETING IN MALI

India’s Ambassador to Mali, the Hon. Anjani Kumar (left), recently welcomed Dr. Jean-Baptiste Tignegre, Vegetable Breeder and Officer-in-Charge, WorldVeg West and Central Africa – Dry Regions for discussions at the embassy in Bamako. Jean-Baptiste highlighted agricultural synergies between India and Mali, and encouraged India’s participation in increasing vegetable production skills and equipment in Mali and Africa.
