Biography

Edmond Totin (Benin) is a social scientist by training. He has expertise in the management of agricultural innovation, climate adaptation, and governance. He joined the Center in April 2021 as Project Manager for SAFEVEG programme in West -Africa. Before joining the Center, he served as a Scientist for policy and institutions in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security programme at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and as project coordinator at Climate Analytics with a leading role in bridging the gaps between science and policy. He has a long and engaging experience in climate change and food security in Africa.

He is a strong believer that research outcomes can only be valuable if they make sense to people and are translated into actions. Edmond is a Coordinating Lead Author on the AR6-Africa Chapter of the IPCC report and an Associate Editor for Climate & Development Journal, one of the leading platforms in climate sciences.

He enjoys working in a multicultural context and listening to Afro Jazz. Angelic Kidjo can happily keep him up all night.
