Caroline Makamto Sobgui joined the Centre in 2014 as a food and nutrition specialist and manager of a nutrition program in Mali. She is currently the program manager of a project to scale up home gardens in Liberia. Caroline has extensive experience in managing community nutrition in humanitarian emergencies and development projects. Her research focus is on leveraging agriculture to improve nutrition. Her aim is to improve household accessibility and consumption of nutrient-rich and diversified diets. Prior to joining the World Vegetable Center in 2014, she worked as a research officer for the Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plants in Cameroon and as a nutrition program coordinator in Chad with an international NGO.
