Justus Ochieng is an Agricultural Economist based at Eastern and Southern Africa office in Arusha, Tanzania. He has experience in economic analysis of smallholder agricultural and livestock systems in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on production efficiency, technology adoption, market development, climate change and household welfare impacts. Before joining AVRDC, he worked as a Research Fellow for the Tegemeo Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development, Nairobi, Kenya and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in the Consortium for Improving Agricultural-based Livelihoods in Central Africa (CIALCA), which covered Burundi, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
