Dirk Overweg

Dirk Overweg (The Netherlands) is Director of Corporate Services, with more than 30 years of experience in financial management, IT, procurement and administration across Africa and Asia.

Before joining WorldVeg in 2013, he served as Regional Finance Manager for Asia at the Belgian Technical Cooperation (Enabel) in Hanoi, and as Chief of Finance and Administration at the Mekong River Commission (MRC) in Lao PDR. He has also worked as an independent consultant in management control and chaired the Audit Committee of the MRC.

He began his international career with Doctors Without Borders after earning a master’s degree in commercial engineering and a doctorate in Applied Economic Sciences from KU Leuven, Belgium.
