Liz Ignowski

Associate Scientist

Liz Ignowski is an Associate Scientist at the World Vegetable Center since April 2024. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow at WorldFish Cambodia. She earned her PhD in Economics from KU Leuven, with a focus on agricultural and development economics. She conducts impact studies on off-season vegetable production, home garden adoption, and demand creation for underutilized vegetables. Her current research also includes urban agriculture. Her earlier work examined nutrient productivity across various farming systems in Bangladesh and investigated changes in consumption and nutrient affordability over time in Tanzania.
