Team building on a tightrope

Among other benefits, WorldVeg South Asia staff learned to overcome a fear of heights during a recent annual team building day at the high ropes course at Ramoji Film City south of Hyderabad.

Divided into two teams vying for the prized annual trophy, the day began 20 meters above the ground, where an aerial obstacle course designed for team building tested everyone’s balance and communication skills. Decked out in abseiling gear (but connected to a safety wire) the competitors sought to complete each of the obstacle courses in the shortest possible time—and to help each other through them. The high ropes were followed by archery and foosball.  After a strenuous morning of competition the “Rainbow Rockets” proved victorious.

After lunch, the teams enjoyed a less strenuous tour of the gardens and the huge Telugu language film studios that produce more than 70 films a year. A great day was had by all, and the South Asia team is the stronger for it.
