ECHO East Africa organized an international symposium in Arusha, Tanzania from 7-10 February 2017 to promote networking among organizations and individuals involved in alleviating hunger and poverty in East Africa. During a symposium field tour, 53 participants visited the World Vegetable Center Eastern and Southern Africa campus on 10 February to learn about the Center’s research and development activities.
