Teresa Liang and Mandy Lin met with seed company representatives and caught up with a few old friends of WorldVeg at the 2019 Asian Seed Congress, 23-27 November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The two were at the congress to promote the APSA-WorldVeg Vegetable Breeding Consortium and the Africa Vegetable Breeding Consortium – two WorldVeg initiatives to engage the seed sector in research and quality seed production. With their broad base of customers, seed companies are indispensable partners for ensuring WorldVeg germplasm reaches farmers across the vegetable production spectrum. Md.
