A closer look at local tech

Dr. Muhammad Najeebullah, Director of the Vegetable Research Institute, Faisalabad, Pakistan, Dr. Saeed Ahmad Shah Chishti, Vegetable Botanist of the Vegetable Research Institute, and Mr. Kashif Nadeem, Assistant Research Officer of the Vegetable Research Institute visited the Tainan District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (DARES) in Xinhua, Taiwan as well as two organic farms in the area on 16 April 2018 with WorldVeg staff Ms. Mei-ying Lin, Assistant Specialist Entomology, and Dr. Paola Sotelo, Scientist-Entomology.

The visitors toured the DARES greenhouses and machinery room and learned about different models of research and plant production in the region. They also collected information regarding the acquisition of agricultural technology and machinery for future use.
