Getting crop nutrition right

Vegetable crops thrive with the right combination of nutrients. By learning about the nutrients already present in their soil, farmers can determine the right amount and right type of fertilizer to use to promote good plant growth.

In this video produced by the World Vegetable Center for the VINESA project, researcher and project manager John Macharia explains how to collect field soil for a soil test, and explains how to choose and apply fertilizer.
