modeling approaches to simulate the impact of agroecological practices on vegetable cropping systems
Thibault specializes in developing modeling approaches to simulate the impact of agroecological practices on vegetable cropping systems with a special focus on the use of netting to protect crops from insects pests. He plans to use models to acquire in-depth knowledge of how agroecological practices affect the functioning of vegetable cropping systems. These models will help to better understand interactions between cultivated plants, climate, pests and cultural practices, and will be used to design sustainable production systems with particular attention to vegetable quality. His previous experience includes research at CIRAD in Montpellier and Reunion Island, and with Limagrain in France.
