Biography

Wubetu Bihon Legesse (Ethiopia) worked as a research technical assistant at the Plant Protection Research Center of the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research and later joined Mekelle University, Ethiopia for his undergraduate BSc study in Crop Sciences. Dr. Legesse did his MSc degree in Plant Sciences (Horticulture) at Wageningen University & Research Center (WUR). He was a lecturer at Mekelle University before he joined the Forestry & Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI) – University of Pretoria for his PhD study. Dr Legesse has more than five years of post-PhD experience in population genetics, genomics, plant disease identification, characterization, diagnosis, management and student supervision at the University of Pretoria and Agricultural Research Council – Vegetable & Ornamental Plant Institute (ARC-VOPI), South Africa.
