The World Vegetable Center, together with Kasetsart University and the Miracle of Life Foundation under the Royal Project held a Training of Trainers’ Workshop (TOT) on Home Gardens with Seven Color Vegetables and Integrated Pest Management on 6-7 February 2017 at the WorldVeg East and Southeast Asia Research and Training Station in Kamphaeng Saen, Thailand. Twenty-nine community leaders, farmers, teachers and sub-district administrative officers participated the training. The first day focused on crop rotation, setting up a year‐round planting plan, healthy vegetable seedling preparation, and soil mixture preparation using locally available materials. The second day focused on integrated pest management (IPM) and biological control, in which participants gained understanding on the management of insect pests and their natural enemies.  A local newspaper wrote an article about the training and one television channel featured an interview with Somchit Pruangwitayakun, WorldVeg Research and Training Officer. Somchit discussed how participants will apply the knowledge they gained. She also mentioned the participants’ feedback about the training and how it is used to revise future courses.
